Most of you know that when using Roblox Studio, there's this 'Pirate Island' story template. If I remember, the template was newly released in 2015. Like the rest of the templates, Pirate Island was fairly normal at that time as there was nothing uncanny about it. That was until in 2016, two players were confronted by a unknown ocean lurking NPC; known as 'The Pirate Island Monster.'

Today I'll explain the history of the "supposed" undefined sea monster NPC.

History (Story 1)[]

A report from a player who's name remains unspecified told a incidental encounter on the 21 of April 2016.

The report was posted on a forum of some sort around early 2017. The report reads: Hello...Can you read this, this is important! I just want you know that you should not go on the Pirate Island Template on Roblox Studio. Why? I'll explain right now, You may not believe me. So 1 year ago (2016 on April 21) I was messing around with Roblox Studio's Pirate Island template, not knowing anything to go wrong.

Five minutes later; I got bored of messing around and was about to close the PC for the night, However I noticed something quite odd in the ocean, which led me running up to the odd sight, but it ducked back underwater.

I had to know what was going on, so I waited for a while but nothing came back up. Getting tired, I walked my avatar away from the ocean, all the way up the high ground and faced away, until..... I heard a splash. I turned back to see what I could only describe as the most otherworldly thing I've seen in any Roblox level.

I described it as a large plesiosaur-ish sea monster NPC with a disgusting dark yellow green tan colored skin. It had yellow glowing eyes of bloodbath, genocide and misery, packed with extremely jagged pointy sharp teeth.

It went for my avatar which got me sprinting away from the creature as far as possible considering I was at the high ground. I took one last stare at the creature while running 'and god the thing was ugly like a dumbass'.

During the run, a obstacle in front of my avatar got me stuck; which gave the creature a chance to catch up, ending up in it biting me in the ass.

After respawning I pressed 'stop playing' as fast as I could even go through and said: "Oh my god that was terrifying" while shutting my off PC.

This is why I am telling you this; to stop playing that Pirate Island Level, it hides a deep secret underneath the bottom of the ocean.

I'm not sure if that was an update to the template to put a NPC that chases you but it's definitely not from the Roblox toolbox trust me. It's rare so it might not happen to you. Either way my template update theory will have to remain a mystery; because if this happens to you well good luck because you'll have to be the one who must save yourself.

Story 2 (Short)[]

This story was found on a forum in 2018. It reads this: Around the time of walking around on Pirate Island, I notice this weird loch ness looking hump that never seems to leave. It's either I'm having a glitch of some sort, Idk? If anyone of you know what this thing is, can you please tell me Thx.

Explanations and Debates[]

Some people believe the Pirate Island Monster stories around the web forums are nothing but made up jokes (possibly to scare kids) However others disagree; saying that it's a true rare update that exists.

If the others are right, it could be a NPC that's apart of the update and doesn't appear in the toolbox, just very rare to encounter and hard to kill.
