In 2003, “David Baszucki” and his long time friend “Erik Cassel”, would start to work on a game, which would end up taking the world by storm almost instantly, On it's release 2006. That game would end up being “Roblox”, which exploded in popularity around the 2010s, and even the 2000's at times. We all might know how amazing Roblox is, and how interesting it's history is. Most of us will probably Know most thing about the Fascinating history about the platform, Including thing's like, “Roblox was Originally named Dyna Blocks.”, ”Roblox First currency was ROBLOX Points.”, ”Roblox First ever Version was a physic game.”, and Many more.
And You Probably know, that David and Erik used to work at Knowledge Revolution. And that they left in 2004, to found Roblox. All of It Seems Like A Valid Origin story For Most People To Understand. Well Unfortunately for me, That Story Doesn't See Really Factually Valid.
You see, In October of 1997 “1 Year Before David Left as President.” David was Obsessed with Multiplayer games, such as “Golden Eye 007”, and, “Age of Empires.” He had the Idea of Starting to develop a Game, that was not like many other games at the time. He had gotten the Idea for the game being a server based game, after he Heard about the 1984 game “Islands of Kesmai”, which was the First Ever Server Based Role play game to come out at the time, and was the First Ever Server Based Game In the world.
He Really Wanted to Get the idea of the game off the ground, But he and the other other 2 team members “Erik Cassel and Keith Lucas” and his father, Just didn't have the Resources and experience to Make such a firm subject.

Active Entertainment Logo
Later that Month, David was contacted by a person known as “Oliver Rad”, who was born on December 20th, 1969. Oliver claimed to be the Founder of a small company, which went by the name “Active Entertainment”, which was founded in 1981. during his Conversation With David, he told him that his company had over 5 members, and had made many online MMO's, that had never really sold well, due to the poor advertising techniques.
They eventually made a deal, and both Active Entertainment and Knowledge Revolution Decided to partner together and start working on, what would be, The game David Baszucki had dreamed for. At first, they were going to make the game a 2d game, but they then backed out of the idea. Since David and Erik had Experience with 3d modeling, so both teams decided to make the game 3d instead of 2d. Once they got the graphics of the game down, they needed to figure out what they wanted the game to be.
at first, they chose the game to be a mining game, where players could create servers and join others to help them mine down to the core of the earth. After a while of planning out the story board, David thought that the idea was to obsolete, so they decided to once again back out and try another idea.
This time, David would be the one who would display the idea for the game, Since no one else really weren't very open minded, and had been sapped of creativity. Unfortunately, by November 4th 1997, Even David started to lose hope in the project, and he felt like giving up.
But how ever, on November 10th 1997. David Decided to look online, to try to think of an idea for his game, but unfortunately, he gave up. his last hope was to click on random sites about creativity to try to find something to get the hard-worked idea, of game down and written.
Eventually after clicking many site links, he stumbled on a site, which as of today, the URL remains unknown. It was apparently a official site for a elementary school, located in Minnesota.
As he looked through blog after blog, he started to realizes something. Something that would change his mind, about how he thought about creativity, and the power of the imagination, forever.
He saw photo after photo, of children around the age of 7 to 8, creating amazing builds, and worlds, with Lego, and many other building blocks and tools. One child even made an entire tug boat, out of Lego. And after seeing those photos, something clicked inside his head. And he finally figured out the base for the game, he wanted to create.
He wanted to make the game, “A Game”, with the source of the power, being, “Imagination.”
once he gotten the idea, he immediately started to contact everyone at the studio, to inform them about his Ground-breaking idea. And soon, they all started working on the game, hour after hour, minute after minute. And soon, by December 20th, they had most of the database and code done.
But unfortunately, things started to go down hill fast, due to a “Accident”, which hastily took the project down with the Small company, the company who helped David and his 3 men crew, the hole way through.
And before I start to explain this part, I am extremely sorry for anyone who knew and worked with this “man” with Active Entertainment, for the 7 years he had Intervened and help the company, before his unlawful demise.
“Alexander Miller”, born on “February 6, 1972”, was a great person, even though he was born in a poverty Environment in Mexico. He moved to The USA when he was 16, and turned out to be very good at graphic designing, and web coding.
He even took C++ Classes in 1989, and Immediately came to love the programming language. In 1990 he joined Active Entertainment, after one of his friends, had also joined the company to help out with hosting and programming the servers. Alexander was very good at developing HTML, and also made a C++ based app, that could run HTML Files as Desktop Programs, which according to what people had told me, they thought was the Inspiration .HTA, which was released to Microsoft windows in 1999.
how Microsoft knew about the idea of Executable HTML Files, is still a mystery, the only thing I could think of, was one of the 4 people who worked with him, Got a job at Microsoft, and would spread the idea about a program that could be used to run HTML Files as desktop Applications. Either way, he did a major role into coding the account and sign-up enter-base for the project. And with that, all good things must come to a end, but this time. The “end”, in the good things, would end in tragedy. When Alexander's Life would be cut short.
On December 23rd “1997”, Alex was sitting in a room, with at least 5 Windows 95 Computers. He was Working on the Code for the User list, and was also going to create the very first account, once he was down coding it. Unfortunately, things would soon turn tragic.
And that tragic out-come, would be one of the only documented case, of something as brutal as a laptop overheating, causing a the death of a person.
Furthermore, during the testing phases of the code he had complied, one of the window 95s laptops, that was placed the table across from him, was over-heating, due to software bugs and over-charging of the battery. And almost a minute later, the laptop Exploded. Causing piece's of the machine to fly in all directions.
And tragically, Approximately 3 sharp pieces of the laptop had been launched towards Alexander, and hit him. Causing him to be seriously injured. And to make matters worse, a 6 inch peace, had cut an artery in his arm. 2 of the workers in the separate room heard the Loud explosion, and ran into the computer room, only to see Alexander lying on the floor, covered in blood. One of the 2 men ran to aid him, while the other one ran to warn the others about the situation.
Oliver than called 911, as the same worker and Oliver ran back to the Computer room to help out The Bleeding Alexander. They tried their best to cover the cut, and tried to keep him Conscious while they waited for the ambulance to arrive.
Sadly, their attempts were in vain as Alexander Miller would bleed to death, and passed away. At 12:56 AM that same day. And in a strange occurrences of events, when the same worker who witnessed the incident went back to the room where Alex had died, and he saw something which was off. For some reason the user page had 1 new user.
he was confused about it, since when did the account had been encoded into the page. This was odd because he had looked at the screen and remembered that there was no account on the user page, during the accident.
The user slot was empty before Alexander passed away. after the incident there was a lot of drama with the company who made the laptop, and a lawsuit was filed against the company. Surprisingly, The latter team one, and the company paid Knowledge Revolution over 10,000 dollars.
A few months after the Tragic accident the project (which would be known as “Hammer-Blox”), would slow in development, and would then be canceled on march 21 “1998”.
Active Entertainment would then start to lose revenue due to legal cost's, Including a small Incident where Oliver would get arrested for assault, after a dispute with his lawyer. The company then went defunct in 2001, after loosing over 70,00 dollar's over the Span of 4 years.
And Many of you might be wondering, “How Did I Get all of this information?”, Well I'll have to tell you that in a little bit While I explain a experience that would Change My prospective on Roblox, That Would Never Be Shared To Anyone, Until Now.
(Part 1) The Day I Witnessed An Anomaly[]
It was the 6th of June, 2016. At the time I was feeling really sick And I had to stay home from going on a vacation, with my big sister having to take care of me. At the time, I was only 15, And my parents were really protective of me, since I suffered from both “ADHD” and “asthma”, Kind off wierd if you ask me Since ADHD is mostly caused by Symptoms of “Autism”, but that was the way I was born.
Furthermore I had to stay home, since I was literately throwing up in the toilet while having trouble breathing. My sister was crying and sobbing the whole time, hoping that I wouldn't die. She even considered calling 911 but thankfully, I was able to cool down, and I eventually stopped throwing up.
But even after starting to feel better I still had the feeling of being cold, and I was mostly rapped in a blanket, sitting in my bed. I had gotten really bored, to the point that my sister had to tie that same blanket around my neck Like a Cape so I would stay warm and be able to walk around.
After a while, just sitting down at my Laptop and watching YouTube just got really boring and repetitive. So I decided to go downstairs and look around. Once I gotten to the basement I then walked down a small hallway. I walked into a small lounge room with a few couches and chairs, And a small coffee table with a plant on it.
I then turned my head only to see a large storage shelf with many different things on it. There were things such as old bobble heads, and other types of old Objects My family has collected over the years. But a certain area of the shelf gave me nostalgia, which started to really warm up my heart inside.
On the Left side of the shelf was a tune of DVDs and CD's from Movie's and games a-like. Many of them I've played on my Fathers old windows XP computer, that was located in the bedroom across from the room I was standing in.
filled with nostalgic memories, I slowly walked up to the shelf and started to rummage around the old CD's and DVDs, trying to look for something to find, like a Movie or game to play. Most of the DVD's and CD's were put into small transparent cases. all the names marked with marker so we would be able to know which ones were which.
After a while I found a couple of DVDs to maybe watch on my new laptop upstairs, and was about to leave the room when I saw something that interested me. On the left-top-corner of the shelf, was a small CD case, that was labeled “HB 98”, likes of which I Had never remembered seeing before.
I then picked it up to get a closer look. I then Immediately noticed that there was no CD in the case. It was odd, since My mom usually throws away cases with missing DVDs once she finds one. But for some reason, this DVD case was untouched, and looked like it hadn't been touched in a while. Plus the case collecting dust, and had a small cobweb attached to it.
I then dusted it off with my sleeve, and I pulled off the small broken strings of the cobweb. After dusting it off, I then put it into my pocket still curious about what happened to the CD. I then went back upstairs, and sat down on the couch.
For minutes I sat there stuck in my thoughts. thinking of what I should do next. After further thinking I made the choice to try to find the origins of the case, and where the CD was. I first decided to contact my cousin on Whats-app, Since I knew if I looked it up on the Internet, I would find nothing.
I then greeted my friend and we then talked for a while. Until I asked him about what “HM” Meant, and he immediately got an confused expression, which soon after asked me why I had that question. In response, I grabbed the DVD case and showed it to the screen. He then suddenly showed an blank expression, as he then started to talk to me.
He then proceeded to tell me that his step dad, had worked at a small company called “Active Entertainment”, which went defunct in the early 2000's. He said that he recalls that one day, “when he was 8 years old, his father came home carrying the same DVD case that I had showed him earlier, only this time there was a CD-ROM in the case.
He then told me that his step farther took the CD out of the case and put it in a blank DVD case, that was also transparent. And I then asked him if he had the CD, and instead of showing me on his screen, he then stopped the call and then sent me a screenshot of the DVD case, with the CD-ROM Inside.

The CD Rom
I then saved the screenshot to my Laptop and then he resumed the call. He then resumed to tell me, that after his step farther then told his mom “You See That CD Case?”. “Yea?”, his mother responded, “Well Please Don't open it, it is very valuable, and can cost a large fine if you even break it.”
His step farther then left the room, and didn't say a word after the fact. Once he finished his story, the feeling of me wanting to get the CD had started to boil inside me, eventually spilling out, and I asked him if I could have the CD since I wanted to see if it would work. He then hesitantly responded with, “Okay, I will be there in a hour.”, And he ended the call.
I took a nap for a while and Around 30 Minutes later, I had woken up from the door bell ringing. My sister then answered the door and my Cousin then walked in, carrying a small backpack around his back.
He then said goodbye to his Mother as he then walked towards me and sat down on the couch next to Me. He then Greeted, but I didn't respond, since I had just woken up. He then zipped open a small compartment of the backpack, and pulled out the same Blank Case with the CD inside.
I soon sprang to life, and I thanked him while giving him a hug. I was very excited about the CD. I had waited over an hour, and I wanted to see if it would work at all. So I then grabbed my laptop off the table and then popped open the DVD Drive. I was about to insert the CD into the Drive when I realized something that made me fell dumb.
“CD In Modern Times?”, I said in my head. Even though it probably won't fit in the DVD drive, it would Most Likely not work, since most CD are only supported for Old operating systems or Computers. I decided to try it out on the old windows XP Computer instead, and see if it would work there.
I then went downstairs, dusted off my old Windows XP Computer, and then turned it on. Thankfully it started up correctly, and I then logged on and listened to the old windows XP Chime as I was taken to My desktop. Even though Windows XP wasn't supported anymore, there still had a old antivirus on the computer that my dad had installed many years ago.
I then Opened up the Disk Drive, and Inserted the CD Into the drive and closed it. Soon after, a file appeared on my desktop. It was a Installer titled “HammerBlox_Setup”, I then clicked on the file, hoping it would work, and indeed it did work. seconds after double-clicking, a message box popped up saying, “Would You Like To Install HammerBlox?”. I Obviously I Clicked on it to continue the setup.
There was nothing much special about the installation process, it showed a license agreement with a bunch of text Saying the Copyright and other things. Some of the terms of service was also on the bottom agreement page, but it didn't show much. and there was a sentience that caught my eye a little.
“We Currently don't have everything in this license. So if You want to view the full License, Please Access “www.HammerBlox.com For more Info.”
Apparently, I tried Copy And Pasting the link into My Old Firefox Web-browser, But it came up with a 404 Page So I was UN-able to access the Website. The Copyright Was Apparently 1998, And the copyright holder showed Active entertainment The defunct Company As the holder. At the time I didn't know what Active entertainment was, so I brushed it off and didn't look it up.
Soon After Installation, I Then Proceeded I check my Documents Folder And I found 2 Programs sitting right there on the Right side of the folder. They where Labeled “HM.exe”, And “Studio.exe”, with the (.EXE) Executable Extension Next to the letters. I first decided to check out the Studio Program, So I clicked on it and I was greeted with a message.
Not A “Welcome” Message, But A “Error” Message, “Studio.exe is not a valid Win32 application.” I was pretty disappointed, Because I really wanted to know what these Programs were about, I ended up Trying to open the “HM” Program, and to my surprise something popped up on my screen.
It was a White Command Prompt, with a Internet logo icon. Also, I need to inform you that both applications had default icons, like the Hammer-Blox Application had the defrag logo, and the Studio Executable had some sort of a Art Program logo was also a default Windows XP Icon. I thought that they might not had a lot of time to Make their own logos, or the Application was Unfinished.
Either way I opened them anyway, since I was just too Curious. Furthermore, The Command Prompt Had text at the top that said. “Get Ready to Sign Into HammerBlox To have an Amazing Time!”, And underneath was the Usual “Press Any Key To Continue” Text Underneath the Comment. I Pressed The Space Key To See what would happen.
It then Popped up with another Message Box.
“Enter Your Password”, And Underneath was a text box, where I could Type words into, Also next to the Comment, was 2 Buttons, One saying “OK”, And The Other one saying “Cancel”. I Once Again Proceeded to Type A Secure Password, and I Clicked the OK Button.
After That Another Message-box Popped up with the same style and buttons, But the Comment was changed to “Enter Your Username To Continue”. I Entered A Random Username And proceeded to continue. After Clicking The OK Button Once more, A Window Titled “HammerBlox” Popped up.
Once It Immediately I Was a Little Surprised about how much effort was put Into The Application, Like I Started To Think This Version Of Roblox Wasn't Even Made In The 90s, because of The Large Looking Buttons And The Apparent tab Menu buttons that were displayed at the top. Either way I Digressed. Because I've seen applications in the past with the same amount of Effort As this one.
to put It in a more simpler context, it didn't have much effort and my mind was just Fooling around with me. It was an early prototype anyways, So I didn't care.
The application displayed 2 Large Simple worded Sentences In Between The Profile button And a
Border line. The Text Looked to Display some sort of 1990's looking computer font, And Seemed to be programmed as bold. “Welcome to HammerBlox! Where Your Imagination is Your World!”, The Text Displayed.
I Then Moved My Cursor Over The category Tag “(Games)” And Then Clicked. It displayed similar to the the home page With the text at the top of the screen changed. “Welcome to The Games Section”, And underneath that was another Smaller Text label that spelled, “Where You Can Play Fun Games Provided By The HammerBlox Developers”.
Thinking about that label now, I think it was funny that there was a spelling error in the word
“Developer's”, that is general is Ironic Coming from a Company that Had over thousands of Dollar's In their Bank. Well at the time at least, it still got a laugh out of me either way so that wasn't really on my mind.
Besides the Changed header, there were 4 categories were added plus a text button with the words “Back” Plastered on it as well with a back arrow. The 4 Categories button's had text on them, They were in a row, and spelled. “Baseplat”, ”Tall Tower”, ”Ball Shoot”, ”BloxBix”. After reading those texts, I clicked on the profile button to see what would happen, and it went to a new window.
I Won't explain every little detail, but it reminded me of the 2007 Roblox Avatar editor Page, But programmed differently. It had 2 Boxes on each side, with the character viewer in the middle. For the “Body Colors” Box, There was 4 List with only 8 colors in each, all colors being the same. The List Each had text that showed which color pallet was which.
There was one for the Arms, Legs, Torso, and Head. Which meant that players could only color 2 body parts on each part of the body, meaning that players had limited creativity with the colors of the limbs. That was a lot different from the 2007 client, which players were able to color all their limbs differently, not just 1 color for every 2 limbs. The Second Box On The Right, Was Titled “Heads”, and showcased different head shapes, only displaying 5.
There was a round head, A box head, a round box head, as well a star looking head and a pentagon shaped head. But the most striking thing about this Avatar menu, was the character viewer in the middle. To explain it simply, the character had a stretched oval shaped head, with a roundish square body, & rounded corner rectangles used for the arms and legs.
The Default body colors resembled the Iconic Roblox Noob character, with bright yellow for the arms and head, green for the torso, and some sort of a dark bright blue for the legs. The face is the reason why I was take aback for a moment, because it just didn't fit right in my head.
The seemingly early version of the Noob displayed a completely white face. Not like the hole head was white, but the large smile & The 2 small dot eyes, were fully plain white. It was really dazzling to even look at its face, which gave me a open look on how unfinished this game was. and probably how the workers at active entertainment would've maybe acted liked, But I Rather not explain any further.
I noticed that there was a Grey colored button at the bottom left corner, displaying words that spelled out. “Back”, with a small Arrow pointing backwards towards the text. Upon clicking on the button, I was taken back the the page I was on previously, (Which was the “Games” Page), where I was once again welcomed with the Bold text.
I sat there for a bit, wondered what to play, and my brain clicked in as I clicked the first game I would check out. “Baseplat”.
After clicking on it, a small fixed window popped up on my screen. It had a Icon that I couldn't really decipher, & the window title read. “HammerBlox (Baseplat)”. There was a loading screen, which obliviously seemed to be the Icon, but scaled larger. I'm not going to explain what it really looked like, because of reasons. The main reason being the pictures I've taken and the textures I've Archived, Either way, I'll Explain that later in this post.
Upon the game starting up, I was greeted with a green baseplate white mixed blue sky, and a Pixelated “Exit” sign in the top corner. Apparently the controls were very janky upon discovering the keys, which was not a good thing to have in a supposedly high budget game. I already knew Roblox was supposed to be a block game, at-least before the late 2010s. but either way, I was still disappointed with the results.
The Controls Were Binded with these Keys:
{ W A S D = Forward, Backswords, Left, Right }
{ Spacebar = Jump }
{Holding Left Mouse Button Down + Moving the Mouse = Changing X Y Z Axis Rotation of The Camera }
Now, to be honest, The camera movement controls were the Worst, And I mean it. It was very hard to move the camera, since the movement was like 3x Slower than the Players Walk speed itself. And it made it harder to move fast, due do it's painfully slow movement time.
And Another thing to hate about this gameplay Experience, was that the hitbox for the exit button was so out of place. Like If I was moving my mouse only like a certain amount of pixels Near the button, while holding down the mouse, it would close the game entirely.
That turned out to be very annoying, but either way I won't continue to bash the gameplay aspect of this Supposedly old Prototype since a person literally died while developing this game, and I rather not to be disrespectful to the creators of this game. So lets just start explaining what was the point about this map.
First off, This map was just a baseplate where if you walk off the map, You basically fall until you hit a simi transparent red barrier, that once upon touching said barrier would fade you screen to red, resetting your character back to your original position at the start.
That was basically it, other than the Character's arm being shown at the left corner on the screen. It was just a baseplate, where the Player could walk around on. I figured that I wasn't going to stare at the old graphics for longer, so I closed the window and Selected The Second game. “Tall Tower”.
Once starting up the game I noticed the dull color of the “Tall Tower” in the middle. I walked inside through the door cut out and saw that the entire tower was hallow. There were no stairs at all. In fact, there was completely nothing in the tower. The only thing was the walls and the grey color bricks building up the tower.
I quickly ended my session and I moved on to the text game. I wasn't really expecting much coming from what I've seen so far, Thus I clicked the 3rd game on it expecting nothing. But I was completely thrown away from my boring expectations at least some what.
The 3rd game “Ball shoot” was a lot more different that the other games. I spawned with my character's hand being colored blue which I didn't expect, Including there being a new UI On the Right top corner of the screen.
The UI was shaped like a Rectangle and, it had a Transparent effect on it. The same Rectangle had White text in the center that spelled out the words “No Players Currently.” This most likely meant that This same game or what ever Included multiplayer compatibility's, or something of the likes. I looked around the map and it turned out to be some sort of maze comprised of random tall grey bricks (Of the likes I've been accustomed to) scattered around the map.
Upon reaching the other side of the map, I saw something. When I got a closer look, it turned out to be an NPC. It displayed the same Character as seen in the avatar menu, expect it had a different color pallet, Including A grew torso, grew legs, and red arms.
There were 2 NPCs on the map one being on the Left side, & one of the right side of the map. Both NPCs glided around in a circle on their respected sides of the map. I screwed around with my keyboard until I discovered that I could shoot a ball by pressing the Right mouse button. The ball had no Collison and had the same grew studded brick texture I've seen many times, at this point.
There was no health bars to indicate damage from my shots, so I fired the bullet several times until the NPC just disappeared. There wasn't a cool death animation, It just disappeared without a trace. Pretty disappointing.
I already knew that no one was going to join anyways, so I once again closed the game and started up the next game.
“Bloxbix”, was next.
I clicked on Bloxbix next, and I spawned on a plate built with the melon colie bricks. I was expecting the bricks at this point, I was obvious to know that. But I wasn't expecting was the shape and form of what the map was displaying. It was interesting.
It Almost looked like a early version of a simple Roblox Obby, with parkour bricks with gaps that the player was supposed to jump across. I tried to beat the Obstacles and reach the end, But it was so hard. It was so hard In fact that I wasn't able to beat it. Due to the wonky controls associated to the game, I kept falling into the abyss, dying over and over again.
I tried and tried, but I just couldn't finish it. I was upset. I knew it was a early version of what would be Roblox, I knew it would have issues. I just really wanted to know what happens after I made it to the end of the obby. I couldn't handle it. It was obvious that it was unbeatable, But I just didn't care.
I had to know. I sat there a little while, wondering what I could do. I sat there, lost in my thoughts. I'm not sure how I did it, but as I repeatedly pressed the “A” And “D” keys, I was Immediately teleported to the end of the map.
It took me a while to realize it, but I was Indeed at the other end of the map. The green brick was only a few studs away from my character, so I walked forward into it hoping I would get something out of it. I did get something out of it, but It wasn't something I could want. I could've gotten a present, a special code, or at least something decent. But I got this.
Upon touching the green brick, the game froze. It stayed frozen like a picture, until I closed the window.
I went back to the main menu again but in some strange circumstances, there was a new game in the categories.
“My World”
I couldn't wondering much longer what I was getting myself into, Because I had already joined the game. As I loaded into the game, I noticed what it was. It was, a normal map. A normal baseplate, just nothing else. I walked around for a few seconds, nothing happened. I thought I was alone in that game but, the text in the top right corner of the screen said other wise.
“(QwxleA) Has Joined the game”
A Character Appeared at the other end of the map. It walked around a bit, and then and stood there like a statue. I moved towards The player, and I noticed the differences in his avatar. His color pallet had black torso, black legs, and red arms. It's face. It's eyes were messed up with black and white misplaced pixels. Its smile was much more wide, much more disturbing.
He Spoke in some sort of chat. The text appearing in a transparent black box. I noticed the text was also colored white.
“Hello”, He first said.
“My favorite color is white”
I frantically pressed many keys on my keyboard, trying to figure out what was the chat button. I soon pressed the “Enter” key, and a chat box popped up.
I typed woefully.
“Why do you like white?”
I pressed Enter again, and My messaged popped up in the chat. It was colored green.
“I'll show you.”, he responded.
His avatar limbs turned all black, his eyes contorted into black distorted lines, and his white smile turned into a black one. His mouth, his Character's F***ING mouth, opened wide. It slowly stretched wider and wider, and it soon Engulfed the screen. All the while the pixelated sound of Bones cracking played.
It lasted at least a few seconds, but after that. The window was fully white. No UI, nothing. Just white. It took what seemed like forever to find out that I was able to move around. My arms of my character were gone, But I could notice that I could move my camera around. It was like I was in a white room or something, I didn't want to know. I was just sitting in my chair just staring at the white screen.
You know how people used to associated red as an evil color. You know the 666 Devil Nonsense, and all the crap. Then people started think black was a scary color and all that rage, but the thing is. White can be scary too, Like I mean it Just Imagine all those people In Insane asylums.
They are forced to sit in a room, and all day just stare at a white wall. Doing nothing, They just want to be free and see the light, the other colors. The colors of Freedom. That's why to this day, I can't get over the silence Of the white rooms in that game. It seemed like forever, years. Even a eternity, but Everything started so slowly go back together. The 2d Yellow Arms appeared, and the UI Slowly Loaded back in. Soon after all was back, the screen faded from white to something else. I was now on a smaller baseplate. At the middle of the plate, was a gravestone. It's been a long them since then, but It had pixelated text painted on it.
I can barely remember it, but I swear it read.
“Rest in peace Alexander the great”
I don't remember any other photographs I toke, but I remembered this one. I reached for my phone to snap a picture, when suddenly the gravestone duplicated itself. I'm not kidding, the gravestone copied itself and pasted it in a grid like pattern, to the point the graves were even displaced off the map.
I managed to snap a final photo before the game once again froze and crashed. But As I tried to close the window, a sound Played.
It was much more realistic sounding than the other sounds in the game, In fact it was one of the only sounds in the game. I don't want to think about it, but it started out with a loud Buzzing tone, the tone sounded if The game had crashed, but it distorted some what after a few seconds, static sounds played as it turned into a loud inverted Broken tone wave But before it ended, a scream shot through the digital static and distortion. It let out a hellish death screech, with it distorting half way through like the digital demons were trying to pull it back into its cage.
It then inverted fading out for a fraction of a second, before returning a loud bloody Single tone. It ringed through my ears. It ended with it being cut off before cutting back only to end Abruptly. The window closed seconds after words. I Couldn't understand or even fathom what I had witnessed. I just sat there a few seconds, just staring at the screen. I couldn't understand what the meaning of it was, but I had finally ended my session with this game.
I closed the Main window, closed the file explorer, and started to play some old childhood games I've would've played as a happy boy, many years ago.
(Part 2) After the fact[]
It was a while later when I had the idea to even try to Investigate the matter. I was now 17 years old, and it was 2018. I've already found out that the old Computer had broke. I'm not sure how it did, It could've been too old to handle itself anymore. Or it maybe had been a virus. I just don't know.
I Had the screenshots saved to my laptop, and I was wondering many different questions. Who was that user who joined, How did what I saw even happened, How was the only brick colors was grey, and most Importantly. Why was this game even made?
Know I've already explained the main story behind the game, but at the time I didn't know anything. I just had to ask someone. It took nearly a month of trial and error, but I managed to get In contact with someone who've worked on that said game, it overall was prospective changing.
I actually did record most of the conservation (Don't ask why I would) but I did have a recording of it that I've now since recovered. This is the transcript.
(ME) “HI Sir”
(ANONYMOUS) “hello! Nice to meet you young man.”
(ME) “Yeah, Nice to meet you too. So Want to talk about Roblox?”
We talked for ages about Roblox, and other related topics and such. But at least 20 minutes or so into the Interview, I Decided to ask him about the main purpose of this entire Thing.
(ME) “Hey, Do You know about Hammer-blox?”
(ANONYMOUS) “Hammer What?”
(ME) “Hammer-blox. Do you know about Hammer-blox?
(ANONYMOUS) “No, never heard of it.”
(ME) “well yeah, um. About that, I was just playing it a few years ago. It seemed really strange, and I just can't really explain why. It just didn't seem right on the surface.”
(ANONYMOUS) “Ok Ok.”
(ME) “What?”
(ANONYMOUS) “So, You really want to know. Don't you”
(ME) “Yes why not.”
(ANONYMOUS) “Well, back in the old days when I was only a young adult. I Used to work for a company named Active Entertainment. It went defunct back in the late 90s and It never resurfaced. I don't have the best memories there, but I'm going to have to let it out. It's been years, and I just have to do this.”
He Proceeded to explain and tell me the exact same thing, that has been told in the beginning of this Document.
It was almost word to word realistic, I did use the interview after all to start this off.
(ME) “Ok.”
(ANONYMOUS) “You understand now?”
(ME) “Thanks for telling me all this. I might need to go now, Sorry for The Inconvenience.”
(ANONYMOUS) “Alright, Goodbye.”
You've probably taken note that I've labeled him as “ANONYMOUS”, and that's because he just wanted his name to be not shared. I can understand that though I wouldn't want my name to be known everywhere, it is just distressful anyways.
I Still Just Don't understand some of the things I saw that day, even now I just can't. But now, I might just know. As of typing just now, I was talking with on of my friends on discord. I had followed a deep relationship with him, and we are great friends. I was talking to him about something, when I suddenly remembered it. It flashed in my brain, the Thought of the Interview. The Story He told.
I then got the urge to ask my friend if he knew about a game called "Hammar-blox." He was instantly on to something because he responded with, “Hang On..” as he stayed Idle for a bit. I didn't think much of it, because he was the one to often do anything for me even if it was a question. He would just search a bit to answer any question I had. It was around 3 minutes later when he chatted me.
“Ok SO One of my friends actually has a copy of the game. He apparently managed to decode and decompile the files of the game. DO You want it?”
I was Obviously going to say yes, why wouldn't I anyways.
It took some what long to download the Zip folder, but once it was done I extracted it to an alternate drive and dug through it. I found many different files, with many different folders for them.
After awhile, I noted some files that seemed similar to me. when I checked an Folder with the title, “AUDIO1” and it contained a file. It was a singular file, with the name “98toRutteur18131919191”. Upon opening it, I pressed the play button and it hit me.
It was the same exact sound I had heard many years ago. The tone, the static, the distortion, & The scream was all there. I Then made the choice to open the file in Audacity to try Analyzing it.

The Spectrogram of the audio file.
I Clicked on the drop down menu on the track, and I Selected spectrogram as the File's Waveform. What I got, was just messed up. I Just can't explain it. See it for yourself. I'm not going to explain the feelings I felt, The Horrible Sh*t That boiled up in my stomach, It was just Awful.
A Chill Ran down my spine, as I slowly moved My cursor towards the “X”, and closed the window.
