Introduction[]
Adam… at least that‘s the most memorable name I could call him. Adam was a life-long buddy of mine; back in the day when life was perfect as it was, we enjoyed each other’s company a lot, and we were dependant on each other. We loved playing Roblox every single day after school. As a matter of fact, he was my only reliable friend I could trust during my junior high times. It felt as if nothing could go wrong within our friendship. But of course, I stand corrected; as one fateful day, something happened to my friend Adam.
Story[]
It was the summer of 2017, me and Adam were finally glad we were on summer vacation. We were both hoping nothing will go wrong as we were freed from our high school torture, so as a result, we both hopped onto Roblox. However, Adam said he needed some time off “to himself” so I got frustrated and just decided to let him be.
A few days pass and Adam hopped back on again, and I was glad to see him. He was also glad to see me. Him and I usually loved playing certain games such as Murder Mystery 2 or Phantom Forces. But we decided to play something a little different today, so we decided to focus on a horror game instead. After a while of debating, we made a decision to play Stop it Slender. However, just before we were about to join; Adam wanted to play with me alone with just the two of us. Confused, I asked why, reconsidering that he never chooses to often play by himself. His response was very vague, as he simply replied “why not? :)”. I didn’t really choose to argue with him, so I played with Adam on a private server he made and joined him. Adam on the other hand, left the second I joined. I almost got a little frustrated as I thought he was trying to troll me or something.

I then asked him why he left, and he took a while to respond despite him being online. Adam then told me he had to “do something” real quick; and without further notice, he joined back into the game. After I joined back into his server, Adam acted a little strange. He looked very excited to see me for some reason, and he usually doesn’t act like this. He usually said things in the chat such as “BROOOO!!!!! SO HAPPY U JOINED!!!! :DDDDDDD” or “DID U MISS ME MAN????? :DD”. I was very clueless, as I tried to keep my cool and answered back to him like I cared. Adam kept acting very erratic and excited as if he hasn’t seen me in a very long time. Adam also acted crazy each time I lose to him being Slender Man in the game. But, I still continued playing with him as we both promised.
Only a little while, Adam wanted to play something else; so I followed his footsteps and I told him to play whatever game he chooses to play. However, little did I know, this wasn’t a good idea. Adam decided to play a game called “Memories”. It was a game created by him, and it looked like it was made very recently. Confused, I didn’t bother asking him what the hell he was playing, and of course, he invited me to play with him. The game took a long time to load, and was very laggy upon joining. The game itself wasn’t appealing, all that was inside was a completely black skybox and nothing under us. Some strange music was also playing, which sounded like a reversed version of Daisy Bell. Adam was also standing away from the spawn point with him facing toward me; and he stood there for a few seconds before saying in the chat,
“Remember when we hid the bodies in the school closet and we got in trouble? :)”
At this point, I was shocked. I couldn’t believe that I just seen what Adam had said to me. I decided to leave the game out of fear and I didn’t bother to continue leaving Roblox open that day. So I just turned off my computer.
The following week, I haven’t touched Roblox; nor I haven’t contacted Adam in a while after his little episode. So I decided to hop on back onto the website. Upon that, I also noticed that Adam hasn’t been online in a while, he hasn’t messaged me from the following day either. I took a look at his game again, but it was renamed to “Reassurance”. The game was also privated so I wasn’t able to play it anymore. I tried to contact Adam on my phone, but he never responded. I was starting to get worried for him, so I drove to his house. Adam wasn’t home, nor was anyone else.
I went to search through his house, but it was completely empty. The only known trace I’ve found of Adam that day was his cell phone, and my sent messages were still there. I quickly drove home with his phone, and I wanted to call the police to ask about his sudden vanishing. However, I didn’t want to waste much time; so I decided to just go to bed a little early.
The following morning, I got a call from an unknown number. I answered it thinking it was Adam, but it wasn’t. The recipient said that Adam’s body was found. Then at this point, I was super confused to the point where I was speechless. I asked them if this was some sort of sick prank, they assured me it wasn’t. They began telling me Adam’s body is located in █████. I hung up being in complete in denial after what I’ve heard. I didn’t want to believe what happened to him. As a result, I quickly went to unfriend him on Roblox to try and forget him. But his account was already terminated without a known cause.
Conclusion[]
I then learned that Adam had a severe case of schizophrenia. Which, he ended up killing himself to get rid of his bad thoughts he’s been having for the past few weeks. However, I still can’t get over the fact that my friend Adam has died and has never even told anyone about this, including his parents. Adam’s loved ones were in complete distress after the news. But to this day, my friend Adam will never be forgotten.
