Me and Katie
Hello, my name is Hannah and I'm 13 years old. So, I've been playing ROBLOX since I was 6 years old. I have watched a lot of YouTubers playing it and I wanted to play the game too. When I downloaded the app on my iPad and first made my ROBLOX account in 2017, I picked a strange name with a lot of misspellings. I remember when my account was made, I was exploring the game when I saw someone gave me a friend request. Their username was "katiefriend" I accepted it and I remember her chatting me something like "hello i am katie and i love pink!" I said something like "hi im hannah and i do 2". Ever since we were inseparable. Chatting 24/7 and always playing her game, "Katies Pink House". It was a pink house, as you may have guessed. She told me she was 12 and had been playing ROBLOX since 2011. And she was seriously obsessed with pink. I had other friends on ROBLOX, but I think I remember going on to her profile and seeing that she only had one friend, me.
Sometime in 2018, I hated my username and wanted to change it to have my name in it, but I didn't have any robux so I decided to make a new account. On my new account I tried to find Katie's account, but I forgot her username then. I wanted to be with her so I tried to log in to my old account, but my username was so badly misspelled I couldn't remember my username. I made new friends, but they weren't as fun as Katie. In 2020 I decided to make another account because my 2018 account's username was a bit childish, and I also finally got robux on my 2020 account. I eventually forgot about Katie's existence.
In 2023, I was playing games trolling, I may have a bit far with the trolling and one of my friends joined me in a game and we got in an argument. We were in admin game and admin abusing each other, and the other players mass reported us. My account was terminated so I went on my 2018 account. I found that friend and spammed her. ROBLOX banned that account for a day for that. I was thinking about how both of my accounts were banned, and I remembered my old account from 2017. I then looked at my friends on my 2018 account, and recognized one of the usernames and saw that they were friended to my first account. I thought of the passwords my family used to use for everything back then and tried them. Finally, on the last try, I finally got in after 6 years. I decided to not approach my friend and instead look at my old friends from back then. All of them except for two people were inactive. One of them was Katie. When I saw her profile, I got instant flashbacks from when we used to play with each other. I decided to play her old game because I wanted to see it again.

A few seconds after I joined, Katie joined me. She instantly said hi to me.
Katie: omgg hi hannah
Me: Oh hi
Katie: its been 6 years why didnt you play with me :(
Me: Oh I moved to a different account
Katie: okie
We started to explore the house. I started to remember them. Like the bathroom, the bedroom, and the dollhouse. Then we just played around and danced.
A door I don't remember...
I noticed something that wasn't there before, a door upstairs. I asked her why there was a door there. She simply said:
Katie: oH
Katie: its always been herE
I was confused why she randomly capitalized the last letter in "Oh" and "Here", but I didn't say anything. She then said she needed to go somewhere, and I said ok. Her boombox then suddenly turned off. I decided to try to go inside the room and see what's it's like.
I found a secret room...
I went in and I found a secret room. And I was shocked to see that I was trapped in a black room with a skeleton in it. I was asking Katie what the heck was happening, and she just said:
Katie: ...
I was wondering what to do and approached the skeleton and stepped on it. It teleported me to the dollhouse!
It was like those old obbies where you would shrink down and have to escape the evil giant, like the evil grandma, the evil baby, and more.
Katie: im sorry hannah
I was so confused and wanted to know what was happening. I went to the front door and got teleported again to a black room that was like an obby and Katie was waiting for me at the end.
...
Me: Katie whats going on?
Katie: you promised me we would play together everyday
Me: I'm sorry I couldn't remember my username
Katie: you were my best friend hannah
Me: Katie...
Katie: goodbye hannah
Me: ...
Katie disappeared and a few seconds later I was banned from her game for being a bad friend. I was confused after what I had just witnessed and decided to just watch YouTube and do other things than ROBLOX. I had many thoughts. Why was she this angry just because I was only being inactive. Why couldn't she find new friends? I started to wonder things about her that was odd. Remember how I told you that in 2017 when I met her, she was 12? Well, she always talked and acted like she was younger. When I was 12, I acted more mature.
After 6 years, she should be around 18 years old, but she still acts and talks the same. I'm pretty sure she would have matured a bit more, and maybe even quit ROBLOX by now.
The next day, my 2018 account was unbanned. I decided to play one of my old games inspired by Katie's game. It had admin commands and everything, but Katie's game had more memories. Usually when I get a new friend, we drift apart a few days later.
I told my friends about this, and they asked what her account was. I told them "katiefriend". One of my friends told me they saw it said the account was last online 9 years ago. I decided to look at the account again, and it was a completely different account! It joined 2014, but I remember looking at the account years ago and it said "2011" or something. And this account had some followers and was following some people, but the "katiefriend" I know had no followers and was following no one. I looked at its creations and played its only game. It was the starter place! I was really confused, and I didn't feel like going on my other account because of what happened.
Like I said before, I only had two friends who were still active. I decided to contact that other friend that was still active, Lacey. I told Lacey about my friendship with Katie, and she told me in an old recording she made for her YouTube channel back in 2017, she remembered I was talking with someone who probably had that name. I went on her channel and looked back at her old videos. She had a lot of videos posted back then and I had to skim through a lot of videos. Finally, I came across an elevator video.
Lacey: hiii everyone welcome back to gaming with lacey!!! im with my friend hannah!!!
Me: hiii and katie is here 2!!!
Lacey: umm whos katie
Me: shes my bff!!! shes the one wearing a pink dress!!!
Lacey: i dont see anyone wearing a pink dress
Me: omg look its ducks
Lacey: yay!!!
Katie was not mentioned in the rest of the video. I tried going on the Internet Archive, but I couldn't find anything. Another video popped up, it was also from 2017. It was from another one of my friends from 2017, but she quit the same year. I watched it. In the video, my friend was mainly hanging out with her other friends, and I was having lots of fun talking to Katie, but my friend was confused since no one was there expect me, her, and two of her other friends.
I was really confused. Why did nobody see Katie except me? Does Katie even exist...? But that doesn't make sense. How could I have a ROBLOX imaginary friend? That's not even possible! I started to remember how Katie rarely played any games other than her own. I started to think I was insane. My ROBLOX best friend doesn't exist.
A few weeks later, I went on my old iPad and looked at my old photos. There were photos of me and my old friends. There were randomly screenshots from a computer of my old friends profiles. Then, a chill ran down my spine. I saw a recording of the elevator in my point of view, but in this one... Katie was there. Everyone seemed to ignore Katie and not acknowledged her existence.

I found some more photos. Katie's profile. From 2017. Does she exist or not? I'm confused. Nobody else sees her. I'm seriously going mentally insane...
