This is the remaster and remake of my old, second roblox creepypasta. (Not affiliated with the Roblox Game "Area 02")

If you're here from the series on YouTube by @intdisaster (me), then this is the original story that UR-ATC is based off of.

Area 02 - Remastered[]

April 10th, 2021, 12:50 PM Pacific Standard Time[]

I'm Eric and I don't know where to start without sounding like a rando you just met on the streets of Atlanta. I can start by describing myself. Kids on Roblox don't really like me because I'm one of those slenders, the avatars with the black hair and clothes and tall body. I'm 12 and I play Roblox in my free time apart from going out with my friends. I don't play Roblox with my real friends as often except with my friend Arlo.

Right now, something really weird just happened so I'll begin with what just happened starting all the way back around 80 minutes ago.

I was just playing a vibe game with my egirl, Madison. I saw a player dressed in a black outfit walk toward me and ask me this weird question, but I was focused on his avatar. It was fksiing weird. His skin tone was this light beige and his face seemed to be hand drawn, it was just a blank face, like this. B| , but the lips were off. They were straight but some detail about it was so odd and.. creepy. I don't know what about it but that face was creepy. The face had no eyes, it was just sunglasses that almost looked like they reflected the ingame environment, even though it was clearly 2D. It looked nothing like a face that Roblox would make. I just thought it was a UGC head. He was in this dark black coat with this weird symbol on the right, but something was really weird about it. It was extremely high definition, most clothes on Roblox are low pixels and don't have high resolution, but I could read tiny words on the symbol. "U AC" or something like that. That guy looked like one of those men in black guys.

Anyway, he told me: "Don't tell anyone or you will face penalties." I have no idea what he meant by that but it freaked me out. I looked behind me and there was nothing. I turned on the lights because I was so scared, but I came to my senses. He took out some gear and did some action to me that essentially put me in his hands, like handcuffs. He brought me outside into an outdoor area where nobody was except for a few people. He equipped a gear and brutally shot them until their characters went limp and died. I thought to myself: "Is this guy a fksiing hacker?" He repeated himself. "Don't tell anyone or you will face penalties." I was getting scared. I wanted to leave but it was just a game.

He dropped me in this big hole, crudely made with something like those F3X btools, and there were other people in the server there too! I tried to chat for help but for some reason I wasn't able to, but I could still see the chat messages. It seemed like everybody on the other side of the map had no idea what was happening. I stayed quiet, waiting for what was going to happen next, when he then pulled out this remote tool and all our characters went limp, blacking out. Instead of respawning, my screen went black. I opened the menu to leave but the options to leave and reset were greyed out. The menu had also changed, it seemed to be this modern, basic, weird terminal menu. The players that were in the server were gone and the server was filled with literal hundreds of people, all dressed in white science coats and vests. I recognized a few people from the game I was just in. What's going on?

My character woke up in this outdoor courtyard prison cell, and the sky was a murky beige. My other friend was there, and so were many other people from that server I had just been in. Arlo, who I was in a Discord call with, yelped like he just saw a ghost walk in front of him, and his character was standing over a dead body. The body was Madison, she had been shot to death. The bullet hole went through her body's chest and was bloody. I was so shocked, (but i cant let this be a cliche creepypasta lmao) so I instantly thought about what to do- leave, stay to investigate, or scream. I stayed to investigate. I had played gory games like L4D and Doom, so I wasn't disturbed but I was shocked at the fact gore was allowed on Roblox. It was just some blocky kids game, how and why would they add gore to it?

I ran around the courtyard until I heard a large voice from my laptop, coming from the game. A player in a hazmat suit stood in a metal catwalk overlooking the courtyard, speaking out with his voice. A green microphone appeared over his head, assumingly meaning he was talking? Roblox doesn't have voice chat. How was he talking at once? I remembered seeing this YouTube video by Flamingo where this guy uploaded audio to Roblox games to talk to people, but he was talking instantly.

Hey. You're all coming with me.

This is where crap hit the fan. We entered this diamond plate room, where the light above had been so bright I had to turn the brightness down half ways. He forced us to wear these yellow jumpsuits, all had randomized number tags on the front side's top left corner. I was 732. I entered this catwalk which was above a concrete outdoor area, which looked like it was next to the courtyard I had started in. I was told to jump, so I got ready to jump, when all of a sudden I saw a red fleshy creature climb up the catwalk and grab the hazmat man. The hazmat man was eaten alive and he told me to run. I jumped over him and took his pistol and shot the creature, but the hazmat suit man was already dead. I felt a bit bad, but he was the guy holding us prisoner.

The corpse rose up and store at my character, and then tried to attack me. I dodged the attack by shooting him. The hazmat glass was almost transparent enough for me to see he had been somehow- infected by that red flesh creature.

This is not a test. This is an emergency alert from the Site Director's office. The rash units have breached containment. All Hazmat Officers to Sector D immediately to terminate the rashes and please, all Sector D workers, check for signs of the infection. If you show signs of the infection, lock yourself in a room and make sure you isolate yourself from everybody else while doing so.

I was scared, and I realized that people were going to try to shoot me if they thought I was infected. I checked the HUD that came with the pistol. I only had 9 reserve ammo left, so I made the most of it. I escaped the laboratory while evading the rash creatures. I didn't know what was going on, I just kept running. I eventually made it to this security center and hid in a room and looked for ammunition. I did find a few pistol ammunition boxes, all of them were empty except one, which had a few more bullets left. This is where I am now, I don't know what to do. There are 2 people with weapons outside the door, and they want to come in- should I let them?

April 10th, 2021, 1:02 PM Pacific Standard Time[]

The two men introduced themselves as Amigo and Wolfpack. This is unrelated, but I looked at the playerlist and the hazmat people, the workers- they were real players, not just NPCs.

The men gave me armor and anti-biotics, which were tools in my inventory now. The armor was able to be put on. We made it to a parking garage, where we entered a van and rode off into a tunnel.

Amigo: We better get out of here, and now.
Wolfpack: Hey- uh, "erikninje732", are you infected? Let me check your skin color.

He took a look at my character skin, and he said as long as it didn't look red it meant I wasn't infected. We went to a control room where they were monitoring the facility and exits and it was massive. There were at least 90 monitors all recording live footage. I watched a player gruesomely turn into a bloody amalgamated monster. The exits seemed to have teleportation rooms that lead out of the game, as tons of the facility's staff lined up to them, leaving to games like Adopt Me and other ones. Then, a bunch of those red rash thingies ran up to them and killed them all, some of them laying on the floor being eaten live or turning into one of them. A HUGE one tore apart a van carrying security officers. My game lagged. The rashes entered the teleportation chambers.

Amigo: Fksi!

He can swear too?I suddenly heard crying in real life, and it came from my little sister's room. I walked in and found her crying over her iPad, and she told me how her player had turned into a 'scary monster' and her pets died. She was playing that god awful game Adopt Me. I guess she spent a lot of time into her pets, and she was worked up over them. I told her that she can report people who scam her, but then I stopped in my words. I remembered she had said "scary monster". I took a look at the iPad and saw her roblox character had become one of the Rash. I told her not to play Roblox, and to go watch TV in the living room, as I could monitor her from there.

erikninje732: hey guys, my little sister's roblox account is playing Adopt Me right now.
Amigo: dude i dont think we care.
erikninje732: her avatar became a rash.
Wolfpack: are you fr right now?
erikninje732: guys i am being serious. how did it spread to other games?
Amigo: We have been studying those rashes and testing them on random game servers, usually the vibe games since it's full of subjects. these rashes have an artificial intelligence mind. They should NOT be able to work in other games since we haven't backdoored them. Send me her username and I'll check.

I sent him her username and he screamed in chat.

Amigo: fksi They got out. Wolfpack THEY GOT OUT.
Wolfpack: Shit, really? We need to go now. Erik, you see, they can use in-game objects and GUIs. Like a normal player, except they aren't real physical people, it's basically just a bot which has the intention to infect other real players to control their player using a bot. All of these rashes are like a hive-mind.

We arrived in an Adopt Me server which was chaos. The van drove into the spawn, and the Rashes had been running around the game and infecting more. ATC Hazmat officers gunned down Rashes as they ran toward the crowd who were being teleport-evacuated. The teleporters were physical parts, which players had to wait 5 seconds on to teleport to a safe ATC evacuation center. I ran into the Neighborhood and shot Rashes and screened fleeing players of the infection, and if they had been infected, I'd have to kill them. The non-infected were sent to the teleporter. Until all of my organs collectively dropped when I saw a horde of Rashes jump onto the teleporter and attack the crowd of fleeing people, while also teleporting to the evacuation centers. Wolfpack and Amigo drove in the van to the house I had been screening people at, and they told me to get in. A mounted minigun was on the top of the van, and a bodyguard had been manning it, tearing down the horde.

Amigo: Adopt Me is one of the biggest games right now and this game is at 1 million players right now. We need to contain this now.
Wolfpack: Amigo, I want you to contact our exploiters to destroy the rashes.
Amigo: Most of our exploiters have been infected.
Amigo: should we use the limited 'items'?
Wolfpack: If we have to. we only have 12 of these.

Wolfpack pulled out a tool which was a jar of glowing yellow substance. He gave one to me, one to Amigo, one to the bodyguard, one to the driver, and put the rest in his inventory.

Wolfpack: Eat it.

I ate it and my screen was tinted yellow for a few seconds, making the saturation of my screen distorted a bit. Eventually it fixed itself. I looked out the window of the van and saw a destroyed city. The city looked blocky and colorful. I realized it was Brookhaven. Chaos was on the streets as kids tried to fight back using the roleplay guns to no avail, eventually some of them being torn apart and ripped, their character being spread apart across the map. One of my friends was in this same server earlier and I found his avatar's head bloodily chopped off on the road.

Amigo: We need to give them working guns. We have some basic admin in this game since Wolfpaq is apart of the top advisory group. What's a good gear?
Wolfpack: The General revolver. Anything ranged and fast is good.
Wolfpack: Listen, the yellow substance gives you immunity. I'll get us some good weapons. We're not going to die with no salvation.
Amigo: Aren't we going to contain this?
Wolfpack: We should, but without proper exploiters or literally going into the Roblox Servers, we can't do anything. Get the whole group including the U.R. on the Level 6 alert.

We exited the van onto a small dirt road next to a lake and mountain and saw how destroyed the city was. Smoke came out of the city as I heard the sounds of people being killed and gunshots. The sky was a greyish-brownish color, and it looked like puke. The city buildings were dilapidated or destroyed, and we saw the horde around us. We fought until we were all surrounded.

Amigo: what do we do? we're surrounded!
Wolfpack: Get to that hill, we're going to escape.

We climbed the hill while shooting down at the horde chasing us. A helicopter picked us up at the top of the mountain, and we escaped barely as the rash horde nearly climbed onto the helicopter. Amigo loaded a small round metal shaped object, what I thought was a bomb, into a small compartment into the helicopter. It was a bomb, and it flew downwards out of the bottom of the helicopter onto the city. A massive bright yellow explosion covered my screen, even playing distorted explosion sounds. I turned down my volume as my laptop's speakers began to reach their limit. As the explosion faded, all that was left were destroyed ruins and a massive crater in the middle of the map. So I just escaped that hellhole.

I thought things would finally come to end, where we would find a place isolated to make a cure or way to stop the Rash, until the pilot bit the co-pilot. They were both infected, and their character squirmed and the skin color turned red, and their clothing became ripped and a fleshy texture faded in onto their body. The helicopter swerved around, and it crashed into some hill where we all survived, except the pilots, impaled with debris from the helicopter. We all exited the destroyed helicopter as we walked around a blocky valley. There was nothing but a dirt road, some short cliffs, abandoned homes, and pine trees. We saw a small commercial building in the bottom of the valley. We entered it, and rashes were inside. As we killed them, we found what this game was. Baker's Valley. The kitchen had rotten cakes and it seemed like no player had been there for some time. From outside, a few rashes made it inside, and then a whole horde. Some were wearing aprons, ripped clothing, and their fleshy limbs broke the windows as they climbed inside. The horde was breaking in, and the doors had finally fallen. We grabbed our weapons and fired. The horde even broke into the restaurant by a hole in the roof. We shot at a wall and ran out of the kitchen, outdoors. The building collapsed when it shouldn't have, like it was unacred or whatever.

Amigo: Let's get out of here. There's a vehicle dealer in this game, we can get a car.
Wolfpack: Those cost Robux.
Amigo: Do I look 8 and lacking a wallet to you? Let's go.

We arrived at a vehicle dealer and the NPC which we had to talk to had been turned into a rash, meaning even NPCs could be infected. Amigo bought a car and Wolfpack glitched the car out of the map, and teleported us to Robloxity.

erikninje732: what the heck even are these 'rashes'?
Wolfpack: It's complicated. It was a public model on the Library which we took down. It was created by a very intelligent and highly experienced Luau scripter, who was also an exploiter. He created it back in 2004 and over 10 years he perfected it. Eventually he was banned, but his model was reuploaded by us after we found a RBXL file belonging to him.
Amigo: The model, the Rash is like a parasite. It infects players, NPCs, and anything with the "Humanoid" class in it. Anything with animations. It turns the skin color or object color red, then changes it to a granite material giving it a fleshy look. For some reason, the exploiter decided to add anims for it. We recently scripted a tool that will make you immune to the rash, but it's experimental and temporary. The rash can literally code and write script for itself, but only a few lines and functions. It's a very primitive AI, but it's been coded to learn for itself.
erikninje732: how come the rash didnt spread?
Wolfpack: we're not sure, but we believe that the exploiter had made a very secure testing place to test the model. he may have tested it in studio using the Run feature. We know that the exploiter was also a former Roblox employee, maybe he even backdoored the servers. He was fired after he tried to insert the model into Crossroads, which infected a few people, fortunately their accounts were terminated and they were probably killed in-game before they could go to the forums.
erikninje732: is there a way to stop the rash?
Wolfpack: our only hope is trying to archive the model so all games can no longer use it, but this model uses an AI stronger than GPT-3. It can open links, it can teleport to other places, and it can browse the internet, and it can even try to make it into other Lua games such as Garry's Mod. It might even be able to convert it's coding language, which might be impossible. It's 5 years ahead of our basic technology that our group has. We'd need top tier military coders to solve this.
Amigo: Or we can try the hard way, where we will have to manually kill them all.
Amigo: wolfpack, im getting an email from Roblox. They're saying that they are going to sue the UR and the UR ATC for $50,000 USD if we don't put a stop to this madness.
Wolfpack: Shit, we better stop this.
Amigo: The AI can learn very quickly. All the rashes are like a hive-mind. Within a few hours it might learn how to convert it's code to other languages like C++ and Python. Roblox is only giving us 12 hours before they file a lawsuit, and shut down the servers. We had to use scripts to try to stop it from learning which just made it write errors in its scripts.
Wolfpack: I don't own the Rash model, one of the other high ranking members does, and he is infected and the model wasn't published by our group. Our only hope is to kill all of the Rashes. It could either be traditional style, by putting their health to 0, which stops infection and kills them permanently, or Roblox can terminate all the accounts that are infected.

I was getting scared here. Roblox, my beloved game, which has been running since 2006, could be destroyed in not a month, not a week, not a day, but in a few hours. I decided to take a break from playing, but left the game open. I went onto Youtube and all over the Roblox topic, there was nothing but "I've been infected by them". Even on non-Roblox related YouTube channels, everybody had been discussing the incident that was going on in Roblox. Many YouTubers I watched, such as Flamingo, Denis, and even Chaseroony had been infected. KonekoKitten, another YouTuber I watched was infected too as he was discussing the topic. I watched a minute or so of his video, and he claimed that there is no explanation for who is responsible for the "infection hack". Live streams ended within minutes since people were getting infected every minute. Roblox put out a statement claiming no responsibility for the exploit and that it was the result of an illegal third party.

I realized that most people thought it was a hack, which could be a good cover story, although it wasn't far from the truth. I got back into the game, where we driving over the abandoned streets of Robloxity. The game had been abandoned for years, only reaching playercounts of 20 at the most. There were only 50 people in the server we were in excluding us 4, almost all of them being rashes. (amigo, the bodyguard, wolfpack, and me). I saw a family roleplaying on the street, near the supermarket. A rash pummeled one of them, and infected them all. The child of the family was not infected, and instead was killed and his ragdoll corpse was threw at our car. We drove towards them and ran over the infected rashes. Wolfpack contacted the nearest rescue helicopter to pick them up, and it would only take a few minutes for it to arrive on the rooftop of a skyscraper.

April 10th, 2021, 2:11 PM, Pacific Standard Time[]

We thought we found refuge. We didn't.

A horde of rashes climbed over the bridge, the hills, and some were climbing downwards or leaping off the buildings trying to get into our van. They surrounded our van, hitting the outer chassis of the vehicle. They climbed ontop and tried to break in from the sunroof, but Wolfpack closed it before they could reach in. The bodyguard tried to run over the rashes, but no matter how much we advanced and how much rashes we ran over, they kept coming. I was getting too much into this, it was just a game, on a screen, but I felt like I couldn't breathe.

I felt panicked. I used my pistol tool and shot a rash who had broke the window. We had two options, escape, or die. We opened the sunroof, shot the rashes ontop, and grabbed a frag grenade tool. I threw it into the van, and it exploded, and we all jumped as soon as it exploded. We were thrown upwards high enough for us to land on a building. The building was directly across from the rooftop, and the helicopter left without us.

Mox5231: see ya suckers
Wolfpack: Mox?! What the hell? You're going to be fined trillions of dollars bksih! When they send us to court I'm blaming you!
Mox5231: lol

The helicopter stopped moving a few minutes after it took off, and it started doing strange maneuvers and crashed into the waterfront. The horde was attracted to the sound of the helicopter crashing, giving us an opportunity to escape. From the hills, I saw Mox running around the waterfront before eventually being cornered behind a building.

Mox5231: #### you wolfpack and amigo right here 🖕
Mox5231: aw damit

We escaped downstairs and spawned a car, and drove off into the outskirts of the city, where the horde would take longer to find us. We entered a news station, filled with nothing but corpses of what used to be real Roblox accounts, atleast the character. It was a disturbing sight, some players were infected and dead, some were uninfected? A lot of them had even been dressing up as their jobs to roleplay, making it feel.. different. The corpses had littered the interior of the building, and I imagined the horrible smell it would create. I regret doing that, but I did it for-some reason

We barricaded the doors, and called for help. It would take 20 minutes for the nearest helicopter to come to Robloxity and get us. At this point I went AFK and looked online to see more news about the rash infections, and what I found made my heart drop on the floor.

Somebody on Reddit had reported that their Garry's Mod playermodel turned into a grotesque flesh creature, far disturbing than any gore in the Source Engine, and he lost control of his player and was unable to play again, both in multiplayer and singleplayer. Restarting and uninstalling didn't help. His steam account had also been doing random actions and changing it's themes to red as if someone hacked him.

I remembered how Roblox uses Luau, a slightly simplified version of Lua, the code that Garry's Mod uses (sometimes). This meant that the virus had learnt Lua faster because it was similar to Luau. In Elder Scrolls Online, players reported that their character became a rash. Even in The Sims 4, a game I didn't expect to be infected by the rash virus had been affected too, since it used Lua.

My friend panic-texted me saying he got banned. I quickly looked at a screenshot he sent me- his account was banned but he wasn't a rash. The ban note read: "Conspiracy against Roblox". Complete BS. Considering that I saw uninfected dead players, Roblox is false banning players! They're doing this to stop the spread to other media, aren't they?

This was getting out of hand. Real news networks had even picked up on the story. Here's what FOX News had said about the incident: "internet virus that originated on the video-game platform Roblox that utilizes highly intelligent AI, and has learnt how to convert itself into other coding languages, spreading it to other games via the internet. Experts warn and want to persuade gamers and internet users to start preparing for the worst in their games. Singleplayer games allegedly have been infected too, which is way too much.

This may also affect software that is not based on gaming, but it seems that the only reports of this virus, which there are already 30,000,000, are on videogames. The U.S. Space Force is cooperating with game developers to fix the virus, and a Roblox group by the name: 'United Robloxians - Anti Toxic Communities' is being held responsible for the virus. They claim that they did not create the virus but had been researching and conducting experiments with it."

I spent a lot of time explaining this stuff, so let me explain the last part of this story.

April 10th, 2021, 2:45 PM Pacific Standard Time[]

After searching through the Roblox website and finding news articles and videos, I got back into the game. We had been surrounded by the horde and were trapped in a storage room. We had our guns and reloaded them. Our immunity had ran out and now our only chance of surviving, was to fight. Our guns recoiled towards us as we fired them at the horde, barely denting it.

Then everything froze. Light was no longer existent. I had been up for the whole day hunched over on my laptop. My screen went black as one of those rashes killed my player. I fell back like I had just been defeated in a life or death boxing match.

It was gone. Everything was gone. I saw nothing but I was nothing. I eventually gained hearing and seeing, but there was still nothing. I saw things fly by in my vision.

A clock.

A piano, playing random notes.

The outline of people.

I heard an emergency alert siren, screeching into my ears, making me panic.

I woke up, sweating, lying down on the couch with my phone next to me, and the time read:

8:31 AM, April 11, 2021[]

I walked around my home, even going to my sister's room but she was sound asleep in her bed. I went onto my laptop, and looked to see if what had happened was a dream. It had to have been real, I knew it was real!

But after researching some more online, I found no evidence of the rash virus. I kept seeing these weird news posts discussing "digital blackouts" and "identifying hackers", but I didn't care to read them.

It was gone.

I went onto Roblox and my character wasn't a rash, and the playercount was still normal on games, and I looked at the server list, and no rashes in sight.

Maybe it was a weird dream.

Why is my windows theme red and fleshy?

August 2nd, 2024, 1:30 PM Eastern Standard Time[]

After 3 years, the purpose and identity of the original creator of the rash virus was found. He was charged by the United States Supreme Court after he was found guilty of computer malpractice that severely affected and even destroyed parts of the videogame industry. The purpose of the rash was to get back at Roblox's founder and CEO, David Bazucki, fueled by years of hatred and jealousy. He wanted to make no one play the game so he spent almost a decade creating a smart AI in the limited Lua language that would insert itself into the workspace of any game unwillingly, then spread itself across games and into the servers and player metadata, spreading it. It was a super weapon. Roblox had to shut down their servers and multiple game studios shut down games and had to reset their entire games. Almost every single game infected, composing %64 of the gaming industry, had to shut down and restart their entire games to rid of the virus. Billions of dollars were lost in the following weeks after the April 10th incident. Even after, illegal copies and products of the rash virus are still being sold on marketplaces to this day, however most of them are not being bought due to most people if not all believing that it was a Pandora's Box. The UN came together to economically aid game studios, software companies, and multibillion dollar companies who had lost almost all of their money due to the April 10th incident. Companies like Valve and Microsoft almost went bankrupt from the incident. Silicon Valley had fallen and multiple companies had to accept bankruptcy due to this. It all started because of a block game.

Thank you for reading. Please leave a comment. I finished this pasta, it was more of a story really, but I tried to make it more like a creepypasta.
